In 1859, Nathaniel & Amelia Clotworthy left Antrim, Northern Ireland to begin a new life in New Zealand. They settled in Whareora, Whangarei, North of Auckland. Their initial family of George & William who were borne in Antrim, grew to 13 children.
In 2009, the descendants of this pioneering family gathered at a Clotworthy Family Reunion in Whangarei on 7/8 February.
The third such gathering, previous reunions were held in 1959 and 1982.
